Information You Submit
A name or location entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Andrews County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy applies to information it receives.
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share the message outside the organization unless doing so is required by law.
Automatic Technical Details
Routine web systems may collect technical information when a page loads. That information can include:
- internet protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages visited and time spent on them;
- the referring site, when supplied; and
- the date and time of each request.
Cookies help measure how people use the site. Browser controls can block or remove them, though some functions may then work differently.
How Data Is Used
Collected information helps keep pages available, route a search to the correct partner, understand which resources are useful, diagnose faults, and display advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests. It is not used to create official Andrews County jail or release records.
Links and Outside Systems
Links lead to sheriff and corrections pages, public-record portals, release resources, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy governs. Some advertising companies may measure activity across sites for interest-based advertising through their own systems, not ours.
Who May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be processed by:
- search partners that handle submitted queries;
- analytics providers that measure site use;
- advertising networks that deliver ads; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Practices
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect information in our control. No internet-connected service is immune from error or intrusion, so we cannot promise that storage or transmission will always be breach-proof.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, a person may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Browser settings also provide cookie controls. These requests do not alter records held by Andrews County or another government agency.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. A new version takes effect when posted here with an updated effective date. Effective date: August 2, 2026.
